Build Once, Run Anywhere, No Objective C Required - Chris Fleck - VP of Solutions Development, Citrix Systems
Traditionally developers have been faced with the dilemma of writing native apps for iPhone, Winmo, Blackberry, Symbian and soon Android or dumbing down the app to a simple web app that works on the least capable browser. This session will present an alternative solution that allows Windows apps to run on servers in the datacenter and be delivered remotely to multiple users with any device including the iPhone. Chris Fleck is Vice President of Solutions Development and Community Evangelism at Citrix Systems. He started his career at IBM working across multiple engineering and product organizations leading to Business Unit Exec of the IBM Industrial Computer Group. As a pioneer of new technologies, Fleck founded an IBM spin-off to commercialize the initial Server Blade products as CEO of OmniCluster Technologies. At Citrix he is responsible for the Developer Network, solutions development, and growing the technical community around Citrix. As part of the Citrix CTO Office he is also involved with or leading multiple strategic initiatives at the company. Currently his hot topics include Mobility, Virtual Appliances and Cloud Computing.
