Cobra Electronics is showcasing Cobra PhoneLynx for Android, along with its entire lineup of mobile/wireless products, in Booth #4863 at the 2011 International CTIA Wireless exhibition taking place March 22-24 at the Orange County Convention Center in Orlando, Florida.

Today, more than 25-percent of U.S. households have eliminated their home phone service plan in favor of mobile phone service, and this trend is expected to accelerate in coming years. Unfortunately, most homes have numerous home phone handsets conveniently located throughout the home or office, which go unused when landline service is cancelled. Now, instead of connecting their phone to a traditional telephone wall jack, users plug their phone system into the Cobra PhoneLynx, which then originates and receives calls via the user's cell phone service plan.

  • Speed Dial. Allows the user to save frequently dialed contacts in a Speed Dial list that is accessible from both the mobile and home phone.
  • Auto Hands-free. Auto Hands-free allows advanced user control over when and how the PhoneLynx and paired mobile phone connect.
  • Voicemail. Provides easy access to the mobile phone's voicemail from any home phone.
  • Alarm Clock. Lets users create and set an alarm to ring on all of the home phones at a designated time.
  • Improved Reception. Eliminates "dead spots" by placing the mobile phone in an area with the best reception.
  • ClearCall(TM). Noise-cancelling technology helps ensure superior call quality by eliminating unwanted line noise.
