Last month Red Hat and friends like IBM, HP, Intel, SUSE, BMC and Eucalyptus Systems put together the Open Virtualization Alliance (OVA) to light a fire under Kernel-based Virtual Machine (KVM) adoption precious to Red Hat and put a stick in the spokes of VMware's wheels. VMware being Red Hat's heredity enemy.
It's supposed to tell happy end-user stories, encourage interoperability, expand the third-party ecosystem around the thing, etcetera, etcetera, etcetera. You all know the drill by now.
