Maybe you got sick and tired of your BlackBerry, or maybe you just fell for the iPhone’s allure. Either way, now you’ve got this shiny new iToy on your desk, but all of your contacts are stuck on your old, clunky BlackBerry. How do you move all those names and numbers over? It’s easier than you might think, and all you’ll need is a computer and some free software. On your PC or Mac, download the free BlackBerry desktop software. Connect your BlackBerry to your computer via USB and fire up the BlackBerry software you just downloaded. When you see your device, choose to sync whatever you’d like: calendars, contacts, notes, tasks, etc. Once that’s done, unplug your BlackBerry and plug your iPhone into your computer. In iTunes (which should open automatically), you’ll see your phone show up on the left-hand side below “Devices.” In the right-hand pane, click “Info” near the top, then check whatever you want synced over. Voila! You’re done.
