DataArt Upgrades Free Form PF Software to Support AIFMD Reporting Requirements

DataArt, a custom software development company that builds advanced solutions for select industries, today announced that it has enhanced its free Form PF front-end software with support for AIFMD reporting requirements. The new software serves as a basis for comprehensive automated filing solutions for investment fund managers with customized user functionality and back-end for data integrations.

The new release builds on DataArt’s original free Form PF software, which successfully enabled its hedge fund clients with multi-billion assets to efficiently collect, aggregate and validate filing data at no licensing cost for the lengthy regulatory requirement. The expanded features include new AIFMD reporting capabilities outlined by the European Securities Markets Authority (ESMA). The bundled solution provides user-friendly guidelines by the ESMA and history of past filings to source during the compilation of data. Expanded features for either in-house integration or individual application usage of the enhanced Form PF Software include:

  • AIFMD reporting features
  • Report sharing for both AIFMD & Form PF data between multiple users
  • Data validation for both AIFMD & Form PF
  • ESMA Guidelines for required filings
  • Records of past filings for both AIFMD & Form PF
  • Unified data model to minimize efforts for custom data integration
  • Generation of SEC and ESMA report XML files

DataArt utilized its extensive experience working with the asset management industry to build a comprehensive back-end component of the automated filing solution, implementing custom data integration and aggregation capabilities into the software. The solution does not require licensing fees, and DataArt engineers provide professional software development services to assist firms with the integration of the solution into the organization’s data sources, and addressing bespoke functional requirements, such as custom multi-user workflows.

“With this new free software release, we are continuing on our mission to provide effective solutions for buy-side firms to overcome regulatory requirements and alleviate the cost of compliance solutions,” said Alexey Utkin, financial services practice leader at DataArt UK. “This new software update manages the global AIFMD reporting requirements and offers flexibility to build an automated solution that will tackle data reporting correlation across the entire organization. We look forward to continuing to ease the compliance burden for global investment fund managers with our new updates and free software.”
