Notes From the Field – DocuSign Participates in Google Partner Summit

Last week, I represented DocuSign at Google’s second annual Global Partner Summit as part of its expanded Google Apps Technology Partner program. With more than 10,000 Google Apps resellers and over 750 partner apps, the marketplace for Google Apps has expanded greatly over the last couple of years.

The most fun about last week’s Summit was getting the opportunity to talk to other companies and partners about DocuSign. There was a lot of excitement about DocuSign’s recent funding, updates to the DocuSign apps for Google, new partnerships, and exciting news like DocuSign’s acquisition of Comprova in Brazil.

It was great to validate with participants that consumer familiarity with DocuSign across important ecosystems is driving adoption by businesses of all sizes. I described how DocuSign is making our digital transaction management service more broadly available to Google users through DocuSign apps for Google Apps and Google Drive, as well as for Android (where DocuSign is the #1 eSignature app on Google Play). Updated functionality I shared includes allowing users to log in with Google credentials from any device to review, sign, and store documents in Google Drive. The current DocuSign apps also leverage Google Contacts for sending documents for eSignature.

Cloud Sherpas, one of our joint customers, has used our current DocuSign for Drive solution for sales contracts and statements of work.  All documents are stored in Drive or on the user’s desktop, and users access from any browser or mobile device to sign and save.  This has resulted in a faster time to process, and they always know the status of documents out for signature.  Other customers enjoying similar results include Conga, Drawloop, LuxSFHomes.com (see blog post), Okta, Uberconference, and University of Alaska Fairbanks.

We will continue to meet the needs of DocuSign customers who want to use DocuSign within Google services, as well as work with other Google Apps ISVs and reseller partners who are developing compelling experiences on behalf of customers.

If you want to learn more, I thought the InformationWeek article did a great job summarizing the Summit. Thanks to the Google team for hosting the event – see you next year!
