TAUNTON, England and CENTERVILLE, Va., Jan. 9 /PRNewswire/ -- Data Encryption Systems Limited, the UK-based leader in software copyright protection, data encryption, secure messaging and data storage solutions, has signed a distribution agreement with Centerville, Virginia-based T3 Corporation. T3 specializes in consultation, sales, installation, integration and support of computer security software and hardware products to the U.S. government.

The armed forces and civilian government agencies have always demanded the latest technology to manage and secure sensitive information. However, the use of security technology has become even more widespread in recent years due to factors such as the Internet and portable computers, which have made it much more challenging to control access to sensitive information. At the same time, more sensitive information is now available in digital form.

For example, personnel and medical records are a top concern at all government agencies, and this is one critical application that T3 intends to target with DESlock+. In some cases, T3 expects to make it possible for an agency to introduce the use of portable computers which, without strong encryption technology, would not be feasible.
